Notes - After moving to the U.S. Annie grew up in the High Hill community of Fayette County. She and her husband and children moved to La Grange from Schulenburg in 1898. Upon becoming too old to operate a hotel, she discontinued the Kainer Hotel and moved in with her daughter with whom she continued to live until her death. [6]
