    • T. J. graduated from Lampasas High School in 1932 and from Texas A&M, receiving a B.S. degree in 1937. At A&M he was a member of the Cavalry Squadron, the Ross Volunteers, and the polo team. He served in the honor guard as a Ross Volunteer at the inauguration of Governor James V. Allred.

      T. J. was a consignee for Texaco for many years. He was also engaged in ranching. He became postmaster of the Lampasas post office in 1966, holding the position for twelve years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas and served on the Board of Trustees of the Lampasas Independent School District. He was a member of the Texas A&M Century Club, past-president of Highland Lakes A&M Club, and a member of the American Legion, the Lions Club, and the Chamber of Commerce. [3]
