Notes |
- “[Robert] grew up in Albuquerque and later graduated with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from New Mexico State University. After graduating he worked for Conoco and later attained a Masters in Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame. Robert loved Notre Dame where he proposed to his wife-to-be, Laura Lee Lindenborn, at ‘the grotto.’ Robert and Laura Lee married on the 1st of June 1991 at St. Joseph's Cathedral in San Antonio.
“During his professional career in the oil and gas industry Robert was named Vice President of Global Supply Chain for Hess Corporation. He also worked for Conoco, Arthur Andersen, and BearingPoint. During his business travels, Robert loved to experience new cultures and visited over 18 countries.
“Much of Robert's free time was spent at the beach with his family, especially in his favorite place Maui, Hawaii. Recently, he fulfilled his dream of building a bay house, The Hula Girl, in Galveston, Texas. Robert's hobbies included taking his two sons to the annual Air Show, building models, water skiing on his ‘Big Daddy’ ski, making Italian pasta from scratch with his famous Bolognese sauce, assembling his Christmas village during the holidays and being anywhere on a boat.
“He was a faith filled man and honored his Lord by helping to start a men's bible study, That Man is You. Robert was the inspiration and moral support for the program, which now reaches 250 parishes and 18,000 men across the country. Robert also served his community as President of the St. Cecilia Catholic School Board and helped with numerous Catholic ministries.” [1]
