Notes |
- “Cardwell was a lifelong resident of Lytton Springs and was the third generation of the Lytton Springs Cardwell family. He was a member of the Lytton Springs Methodist Church his entire life. In addition to his family, he had a large network of friends in the community and he will be missed by all.
“Mr. Cardwell served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from Jefferson Chemical Company in Austin, Texas, but his life’s passions were his family and ranching. He raised registered Hereford Cattle in Caldwell County for most of his life and was a member of the Texas Hereford Association. Mr. Cardwell was active in the community, serving as Caldwell County Justice of the Peace for 22 years. He also served as a Board member for the Lytton Springs Methodist Church, Cemetery Association, Cemetery Trust Fund and Central Texas Hereford Association.” [4]
