  • Notes
    • “Kermit enlisted in the U.S. Army in November, 1945 and served in the Corp. of Engineers building roads and airfields in the Philippines. He was honorably discharged in February, 1947 after which he returned to farming. He was a skilled carpenter, owning Wunderlich Construction where he built and/or restored many of the weekend homes in Fayette County. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Sons of Hermann and the Round Top Rifle Association.

“Kermit worked hard all of his life but took time out for the things he loved. His favorite pastime was hunting and he also enjoyed fishing in the Cummins Creek. He was an avid ‘skat’ card player and played cards almost every Friday evening until recently. He competed in the international tournaments held in New Braunfels for many years. He also was well known for his barbecuing skills, especially chicken BBQ.”
