  • Notes
    • D in Texas Death Index is 14 Nov 1950

Lilree Ogburn Jackson remembers that Ada Pickett had a broken hip the year her mother, Virginia Powell Pickett, died and that they went to stay with her in the summer because she was in traction. This information was obtained in a phone conversation with Lilree Jackson on 5 Dec 1996.

LOJ thinks Ada came to Texas to visit a cousin, Mary Ely (Neely?) who was married to Travis Smith. They lived right down the street from the Weems’, so that might be how she met D.J. [7]
