  • Notes 
    • Rufus was employed as a civil engineer in the City of Dallas Public Utilities Department from 1920 until his retirement in 1955. Afterwards, he was active in farm and ranch real estate sales for 30 years. At the time of his death he was writing his memoirs of Waco and Dallas. Rufus was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas and of the Trinity Valley Masonic Lodge. [3]
