Notes - Lawrence served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Larry and Barb married in 1961 and enjoyed 52 years of bliss together. She worked for Champion Spark Plug as a secretary for many years and was a member of the Toledo Police Retirees Organization. He was a Toledo Police Officer for over 30 years and achieved the rank of Captain before his retirement. Larry was a member of the Toledo Fraternal Order of Police. Larry and Barb shared many hobbies together. For relaxation, they enjoyed their bowling leagues and reading a good book. They both enjoyed baking, her breads, and his cookies. In the garden, Larry attended to his vegetables and Barb to her flowerbeds. Every fall both were busy canning. Traveling the country was always an adventure of enjoyment they shared together. Larry had a real knack for working with wood as is proven by all the crafts he made and the craft shows he displayed at, with Barb assisting him. [1]
